Stimulators for Seizures

Stimulators are like pacemakers. They are devices that are implanted in a part of the body of the person. This device delivers electrical impulses which interfere with the seizure, trying to stop it. There is one stimulator which has been on the market for some time (Vagus nerve stimulator) as well as other that are experimental (not approved at present)

Vagus Nerve Stimulator (VNS) (pacemaker for seizures)
VNS is a device which is implanted in the chest, used to help control seizures.
