How many medications do I need to take to control my seizures?

This is a very common question that doctors are asked. Most persons (about 7 out of 10) will be fine with only one medication. Others will need more than one since their epilepsy is very difficult to control.

If we need many medications, how many is good?
There is no precise answer to that question. Some persons will need 2, some 3, some more than 3 and some will not be controlled in spite of taking many medications.
