Does the VNS have any adverse effects?
• Sleep apnea is rare but could happen. If fell tired during the daytime, or your partner tells you that you stop breathing at night then you need to consult a doctor to rule out this condition.
• Coughing, changes in voice, hoarseness and pharyngitis, could potentially happen. Many times this could be corrected by decreasing the intensity of the impulses.
