Our Epilepsy Team

A Physician Assistant is a professional who practices medicine as a part of a healthcare team that includes medical doctors and other providers. Physician Assistants (PAs) are nationally certified and state licensed to practice medicine.  PAs train to work in many types of healthcare settings such as hospitals, clinics and medical offices. PAs practice primary care or medical specialties, including emergency medicine, surgery, cardiology, epilepsy, etc. A period of extensive clinical training is required to obtain a license to practice as a PA. Training is similar to that of physicians but is shorter in duration.
