The Northeast Regional Epilepsy Group donated several thousands of dollars to the Epilepsy Foundation of NJ, Epilepsy Foundation of Connecticut and the Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern NY. Epilepsy Survey Results: People Don't Die From Epilepsy? |

There are many misconceptions and much ignorance still persists about epilepsy. One of these misconceptions is that epilepsy is now perfectly curable with all the new medications that exist and that it is not dangerous to have epilepsy. However, this is not fully true and there are some very important facts that must be understood about epilepsy and its risks.

The Northeast Regional Epilepsy Group (NEREG) continues to grow. |
|
NEREG is quite a unique epilepsy program in that it is a multi-site practice in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut that offers unique services and comprehensive care to children and adults with epilepsy. All in all, NEREG has 9 outpatient offices in New York State extending all the way from Staten Island in the south to Middletown and Fishkill in the North. It has seven outpatient offices in New Jersey ranging from Hackensack all the way to Plainsboro. And last but not least, NEREG opened an office several years ago in Stamford, CT to provide care for our neighboring state of CT. The philosophy has always been to take the medical team to the patients’ hometowns rather than expecting the patient to travel long distances to see the doctor.
