Epilepsy Awareness Day, at White Plains Hospital

Purple Day® is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide that was started by a little girl called Cassidy in 2008.  Her goal was to make sure everyone was educated about epilepsy. Every year, on March 26th, people in countries around the world are invited to wear purple and host events in support of epilepsy awareness. Last year, purple events were held across the globe including Antarctica!

This year, White Plains Hospital’s Seizure Diagnostic Center will host a Purple Day® event too!  Plenty of information will be at hand including instructions on first aid for seizures, seizure calendars, upcoming epilepsy events, newsletters and even a demonstration of our epilepsy knitting club.
